Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AshantiGold, Emmanuel Frimpong has reiterated that the club will not stop kingpin, Latif Anabila from joining Asante Kotoko.
The midfielder has dominated the headlines after he openly declared he is only interested in playing for Asante Kotoko should he part ways with the Miners.
And according to the club CEO, even though no official approach have been made by Kotoko but the club will not stop Anabila from joining Kotoko.
“No one has reached out to me about Latif Anabila from Asante Kotoko but if he wants to go, we will not stop him,” he told Kumasi based Sikka FM.
Meanwhile, Otumfou Osei Tutu II, the life patron of Asante Kotoko has placed a one-year transfer ban on the new Board of Directors.
It is understood that Ashgold values Latif Anabila at $30,000, an amount the supporters’ group of Asante Kotoko are ready to pay to secure the services of the player for the team.
Both AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in Africa and are expected to mount a strong challenge.
