Sports Ministry urges Kotoko to make nation proud

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has challenged players of the Asante Kotoko to step onto the pitch and fight for Ghana.

The Sports Ministry through a statement signed by the Communications Directorate urged the Porcupines to all they can to ensure they pick the maximum points.

“Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting club, Ghana’s sole representative at the 2020/2021 CAF Championship League competition well as they come up against their opponents.

The Ministry wishes the club all the best as they come up against their Sudanese counterparts, AL Hilal in the preliminary stages of the competition in Accra.

The team is entreated to go into the game with all the vigor, dedication and fortitude to ensure a victory.

We express our confidence that Kotoko will qualify for the group stages of the competition and make the nation proud.

The whole nation is solidly behind you to deliver the victory.”

Asante Kotoko will this afternoon take on Sudanese side Al Hilal at the Accra Sports Stadium in their CAF Champions League preliminary round game at 3:00 pm.
