Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu has confirmed that attacking midfielder Gladson Awako is joining the club ahead of next season.
It comes on the back of several reports that linked the Great Olympics forward with a transfer to the Ghanaian giants even before the 2020/2021 football season ended.
Speaking to Silver FM in an interview, Coach Samuel Boadu said it is true Gladson Awako will be part of his team next season.
“Yes, it is true that Gladson Awako will be part of Hearts of Oak squad next season. I recommended him to the Hearts of Oak management and Board of directors,” the double-winning coach said.
Coach Samuel Boadu added, “He is a very good with enormous qualities which will help us in our next season’s campaign.”
Gladson Awako, 30, returned to the Ghana Premier League last year as he joined Olympics.
Having established himself as one of the best players in the league, he netted six goals and provided seven assists for the team.
He has formerly played for clubs including TP Mazambe, Don Bosco, and Phoenix Rising FC.
