Richard Attah, Raddy Ovouka and Kofi Kordzi battle for Hearts of Oak Player of the Month

Hearts of Oak have nominated three players namely goalkeeper Richard Attah, left-back Raddy Ovouka and striker Kofi Kordzi for the Player of the Month award.

The trio will be competing for an individual award in 2020 after Hearts of Oak announced their nomination for the best player of the month for February. 

Supporters of the club are required to vote for their best player on the club twitter handle by commenting on with the name of their best player for the month for February.

The three players were instrumental for the Phobians during the month as they helped the club move to 9th on the league table with 16 points, 5 points adrift leaders Ashanti Gold SC.

Goalkeeper Attah was impressive in the post keeping a number of clean sheets and rescuing his side on a number of occasions with some fantastic saves.

Ovouka who has displaced William Dankyi at left-back has emerged as one of the standout players of the season.

Kordzi is currently the club’s top scorer with four goals.

The winner will become the second person to scoop the prestigious award after Emmanuel Nettey triumph in January.

The holy month of Ramadan for Muslims began on Thursday (file photo) In a statement on Thursday, the religious police force, known as Hisbah Board, warned that those who engage in societal vices during the sacred month will be punished, local media reported. “Some of the youths who eat in public during the fasting period will not be spared either,” the commander-general of the board, Harun Ibn-Sina, was quoted as saying.
