The leadership of Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has presented assorted items to Hasaacas Ladies in support of their participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
At the ceremony, GHALCA Chairman Kudjoe Fianoo reiterated the welfare body’s unflinching support to the Ghana Women League and FA Cup champions.
GHALCA joins other individuals and bodies, including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who have come to the aid of the Ghanaian women champions after launching an appeal for funds this week.
Hasaacas Ladies will represent the country in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Yussif Basigi’s side will kick start the 2020/21 CAF Women’s Champions League with a clash against Rivers Angels FC from Nigeria before the Ghanaian champions who are housed in Group B – will later take on AS Police de Niamey from Niger.
The Qualifiers which was supposed to start this weekend from July 15 to 30, and has been rescheduled to be held from July 24 to August 5, 2021 at Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, CEO of Hasaacas Ladies Evelyn Nsiah Asare further vowed that her outfit will make Ghana proud in the tournament.
“We are determined to make Ghana proud at the tournament,” Nsiah Asare, who is a member of Asante Kotoko management told Asempa FM.
“We were strong in the Women’s League and we will improve on that before the start of the tournament.
“We have made some few signings and with their addition to the team, we will surely leave a mark.
“This is the maiden edition of the tournament but with the support we have received from Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, individuals and other bodies, we will surely make Ghana proud,” she added.
