AshantiGold have arrived in Ghana after their exit from the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup at the hands of RS Berkane on Saturday night.

The team arrived safely at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday morning and are currently en route to their base in Obuasi.

The Miners were booted out of the going tournament on Saturday after throwing away a 3-2 first-leg advantage to lose the second leg 2-0 at in Morocco.

The Ghanaian club were reduced to 10-men as early as the 6th minute which ensured that they were going to have a long night in Morocco.

The North African side took full advantage of the difference in numbers and scored two first-half goals in the 31st and 45th minute.

Dayo Issoufou, the center back opened the scoring with a scissor kick before Zaid Krouch doubled the lead with a powerful drive out Ashgold’s box.

Despite creating a lot of chances after the recess, RS Berkane couldn’t add to their lead till the blast of the whistle final whistle.
