Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea, Oduro Sarfo has resigned from his position at the Ghana Premier League club.
This follows his interview with Angel FM on the state of the pitch at the Golden City Park and the subsequent letter from the Club distancing it self from the comments.
Oduro Sarfo in the said interview stated he prioritizes watching Nigerian movies instead of discussing relevant issues related to the state of the Golden City Park.
“Some of the players even play on grassless pitches so what are you talking about? Nobody has asked you to call me. I’m watching Nigerian movie and that is more precious to me at this point. We have finished playing the game and I don’t care about anything anymore. If you don’t understand go and ‘collect’ the three points from us,” he told Accra-based Angel FM.
The club later issued a statement to distance itself from the comments made by their former CEO.
Oduro Sarfo on Wednesday tendered in his resignation stating personal reasons.
