Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku has completed a move to French Ligue II side Amiens, the club has announced.

The 22-year-old has rejoined the club on a season-long loan deal ahead of 2020/21 season, a club he spent last season on loan at.

The defender arrived at Amiens in the January transfer window and spent half of the season at the club where he made 7 appearances.

Opoku becomes the second Ghanaian player to be captured by the French side this summer following the arrival of Emmanuel Lomotey who inked a four-year deal from Spanish Segunda Division side Extremadura UD.

A statement to announce Nicholas Opoku as their latest signing read: Amiens SC are pleased to announce the return to the club of Nicholas Opoku . Already loaned to Amiens SC last season, Nicholas Opoku returns to Picardy for this new 2020-2021 season.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian international , who belongs to Udinese, therefore comes to strengthen the defense of Luka Elsner. He had already played 7 games as a holder when he was on loan at the start of 2020 before the end of the championship.
