New Zulte Waregem signee Daniel Opare has disclosed that he can’t wait for the Belgian Jupiler Pro League to restart.
The Black Stars defender last week joined has Zulte Waregem from fellow Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
He signed a two-year deal to join the “Essevee” and he is expected to use his huge experience to help the club fight for a top-four position after they finished this season in ninth position.
The former Ausburg defender says he already knows about his new team and is ready to offer his maximum best to help their course.
“I played against Zulte Waregem a few times and it is a strong team with a lot of ambition. In addition, the club has a great support base. I can’t wait to start the season!” Opare said.
“I want to go all out for Zulte Waregem and give everything for the team. I think we can achieve something great together.”
Zulte Waregem is the third Belgian club of the versatile lateral defender after stints with Standard Liege earlier on in his career.
He becomes the second Ghanaian player to play for Zulte Waregem after Gideon Mensah who featured on loan for them this season from Red Bull Salzburg.
