Public Relations Officer of King Faisal, Awal Mohammed has hailed the appointment of George Amoako as the Chief Executive Officer of the club and believes the latter will raise the club standards.
King Faisal early this month appointed George Amoako as their new CEO after the latter parted ways with Asante Kotoko.
A club statement confirming the second coming of the football administrator read: “We welcome our new Executive Chairman George Amoako to the club. He brings go to bear a rich vein of experience in the game. We are grateful for having him in our fold. It is our prayer that our union will yield many successes in the years that follow. Welcome King George!!!”
The PRO in a recent interview has spoken highly of the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council member.
According to him, the Black Stars Management Committee chairman has laid out good plans that will transform the fortunes of the club.
“What George Amoako told us in our maiden meeting shows that he has brought new life to King Faisal,” he told Otec FM.
“I believe with time and support from the management and the supporters, he will rise the team to the next level more than we were in our glory days.
“He (George Amoako) indicates that every department will play its role without any interference.
“He has lined up many plans which will raise the team to a standard in which companies will love to do business with us.”
King Faisal will be looking to put their pieces together as the GFA have announced that the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League will kick start in October subject to government approval.
The club was not a their best in the cancelled 2019/20 Ghana Premier League campaign.
