National Sports Authority lists non-contact sports that can resume training sessions

Following the directives by President Akufo-Addo that non-contact sports can resume training activities, the National Sports Authority has revealed the games that fall within.

President Akufo-Addo in his address to the nation on Sunday announced that individual, non-contact sports can go ahead.

“I have by order of executive instrument, provided for these new directions and extended the suspension of the remaining public gatherings as set out in EI.64 of 16th March until 31st July.

”In here, I refer to the suspension of sporting events, night clubs, cinemas, drinking spots, bars, beaches, festivals, funerals, political rallies and large religious gatherings such as crusades and conventions,“ Akufo-Addo said on Sunday night.

Hours after Akufo-Addo’s address, the NSA has revealed the lists of non-contact sports that have been given the green light to resume activities.

In a release signed by the Ag. Head of Public Relations at the National Sports Authority Charles Amofah on Monday said, despite competitive sporting events and games still remain suspended till further notice, these Sports can resume training sessions according to the Presidential directives.
