A first-half brace from Mukarama Abdulai helped the Black Princesses thump Morocco in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
The Princesses whipped the Lionesses of Morocco 4-0 to revenge for last Thursday’s defeat.
With Princesses not putting up a great performance the last time the two sides met, they came into this game with one thing in mind to secure a win appease Ghanaians.
Adidas Bronze Ball winner at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Mukarama Abdulai opened the scoring in the 16th minute and 10 minutes later bagged her second on the day before strikes from Boaduwaa Doris and Dede Suzzy in the 36th and 76th minute respectively cemented the victory for coach Yusif Basigi’s side.
The Ladies were in ecstatic mood after the game.
It will be recalled that Ghana’s female U-20 team, Black Princesses last Thursday succumbed to a slim defeat to their Moroccan counterparts.
The Moroccans beat Coach Yusif Basigi’s side by 1-0.
Safa Banouk 38th minute strike was enough for the Lionesses to emerge victors on the day. Despite the Princesses throwing caution to the wind in the dying embers of the game, the Moroccans remained resolute and walked away with the win.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s female senior team, the Black Queens will be taking on the senior team of Morocco today in the return leg their international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:00 pm.
