Accra Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold SC will today clash in the final of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The match is between two clubs who are not new to the competition – with Hearts of Oak winning the title ten times while AshantiGold have won it once.
The Phobians are chasing a record 11th FA Cup crown – with their last final ending in a 3-1 loss to rivals Asante Kotoko in 2017. Hearts of Oak who have played in 16 Cup finals, aim to win their first double in 21 years.
AshantiGold SC’s last engagement in the FA Cup final was in 2012 when they lost 1-0 to New Edubiase at the Accra Sports stadium.
Referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea has been appointed to officiate the final match.
He will be assisted by Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey and Patrick Papala with Wiseman Ghansah as the fourth Official.
Meanwhile, The FA Cup Management Committee has announced the ticket rates for.
The Committee has also scheduled the big game to kick off at 5:00pm.
Opening ceremony for the game will however begin at 4pm with ace musical artiste Black Sheriff of “asem beba” fame set to thrill fans with his hit tracks.
