Ghana’s female U-20 team, Black Princesses on Thursday succumbed to a slim defeat to their Moroccan counterparts.
The International friendly played at the Accra Sports Stadium saw the Moroccans beat Coach Yusif Basigi’s side by 1-0.
Safa Banouk 38th minute strike was enough for the Lionesses to emerge victors on the day. Despite the Princesses throwing caution to the wind in the dying embers of the game, the Moroccans remained resolute and walked away with the win.
The second leg of the friendly is expected to come off on Monday, November 30, at Accra stadium.
It is believed Yusif Basigi and his charges would be going to the drawing board to correct their mistakes and redeem themselves on Monday.
The Princesses in March, bowed to a 3-2 defeat against Morocco in the International Women’s Cup in Sale, Morocco.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s female senior team, the Black Queens will be taking on the senior team of Morocco today at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:00 pm.
