Legon Cities attacker Jonah Attuquaye is confident his outfit will pick up their first win of the season against WAFA.
The Royals will today square off against WAFA in a matchday eight fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium at 6:00 pm.
Attuquaye’s Legon Cities have yet to win a game in the ongoing League and currently sit at the foot of the table with three points following 3 drawn games against Berekum Chelsea, Medeama SC and Dreams FC.
They have lost four games in the League have been profligate in front of goal in games.
Attuquaye hopes they will turn their misfortunes as they host in-form WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium tonight.
“We have played a lot of games which we have not had a win. But I think every game that we play what we put in mind is that we have to take the maximum points. We are praying that we will have our first three points on Friday.” Attuquaye told the clubs MediaThe former Berekum Chelsea man says there is no pressure on the team but it does not feel good to be in the situation and a win will improve the team.
“For me, there is no pressure on me but I think it is very bad. Playing a lot of matches without scoring from open play is very bad as a player and the whole team as well.”
“I think it will be very good for s because when you check the league log we are at the bottom. We need to get the win so that it will boost our male for our next game.”Last season, Legon Cities beat WAFA 4-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium before the league was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
