Kudus Mohammed who officially became Ajax player on Thursday has made it into the top 80 players for the 2020 Golden Boy award.
Despite the list being prune down from 100, the player has made his way into the top 80.
The attacker who signed a 5-year-deal until June 30, 2025 with the four-time UEFA Champions League Ajax is competing with the likes of Atletico Madrid’s Joao Félix, Borussia Dortmund duo of Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland for the top gong.
The top 20 will be the finalists and a jury will choose the winner out of them.
The Golden Boy award is for young players under the age of 21 who have been exceptional in the year under review.
Joao Félix, winner of last year’s edition, awaits a successor after his eye catching season with Benfica that earned him a big money move to Atletico Madrid.
