Asante Kotoko defender Empem Dacosta says he is determined to prove his critics wrong when the Ghana Premier League resumes.
Dacosta has struggled for game time in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League campaign. He has fallen behind in the central defence pecking order at Kotoko as coach Maxwell Konadu prefers Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Wahab Adams and Habib Mohammed
The Ghana Premier League is on a hiatus due to the Coronavirus pandemic with a return date unknown.
The former Karela United has disclosed that he has taken the positives from the Coronavirus league break and has used it to work on his flaws.
He noted that it will be had for Maxwell Konadu to leave him out of his first XI when football restart.
“I will secure a starting berth in Coach Maxwell Konadu’s first XI if the league resumes right now. I have secretly worked hard and prepared for a blast,” he told Light FM.
Empem Dacosta who was deemed surplus to requirement and was on his way to Legon Cities but the deal failed at the last minute noted that he is on a mission to prove his critics wrong.
“I haven’t done what I did at Karela at Kotoko that was why I was worried about they transferring me. Right now I have been maintained and this is the time to showcase the real Empem Dacosta they knew already.”
