Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Patrick Yeboah have agreed to mutually parted ways, Prime News can confirm.
Patrick Yeboah requested for his contract with the club to be terminated. The left back who had 2 years left on his contract reached an agreement with club on his departure on Monday, October 12.
Yeboah is now a free agent to join a club of his choice. According to him, the decision to move out of the club is not as a result of the recruitment exercise ongoing.
He said he wanted to take on a new challenge.
”it’s not because of the arrival of some players. I just want to take on new challenge. Patrick Yeboah told Oyerepa FM
‘I am not afraid of challenge but i have to move on. I thank the Kotoko family because they made me who I am.”
“Getting enough time to play as a player is very important and it was a reason i decided to terminate my contract with Kotoko.”
Kotoko have beefed up their squad ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League with Emmanuel Keyekeh, Yusif Mubarik and Patrick Asmah. The Kumasi-based club have travelled to Koforidua to continue preparations ahead of the commencement of the league.
