Ghana Premier League side King Faisal are set to adopt Nyinahin Sports Complex as their home venue for the upcoming league season.
The Kumasi-based club is looking for a new venue following the renovation works currently ongoing at their favourite Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
However, George Amoako who is the Chief Executive Officer of the club has hinted that his outfit is set to adopt Nyinahin Sports Complex as their new home venue.
“Looking at the proposal from the GFA for the 2020/2021 league in the midst of Covid-19, it means that we might have to break the league into 2, Northern and Southern zones,” he told Oyerepa FM.
“Just 2 venues will play all the matches, home and Away in our zone, it has not been firmed up yet by the stakeholders.
“It looks like Nyinahini will not be part strictly Obuasi and Dormaa that’s what’s on paper now if that happens, then we will have to comply but if given the chance to play at our desired home grounds, it is 90% we are going to Nyinahin.”
Meanwhile, the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season has been slated to commence on on the second week of October, subject to government approval.
