Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh has shared that the team cannot wait for the start of 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The former Bechem United striker has revealed that he is itching to get back on the pitch and can’t wait to pay back the trust the club has shown in his signing.
“We cannot wait for the start of the new campaign as we want to repay the club for the faith, they have shown in us,” he told Hearts Media
His comment has been re-echoed by his teammates and, they also asked for prayers and support from all Phobians before and during the upcoming season as they are moved to win the ultimate for the club next season.
Head coach Edward Odoom said he is happy with the output of the boys during these few days of working together and believes that the team will be in shape for the start of the new season.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2020-2021 season will commence in November following the decision of the Ghana government to give the green light for football to resume in the country.
Premier Division games are expected to start from Friday, November 13, 2020, with the Division One League scheduled to start on December 3, 2020. The Women’s Premier League has been fixed to start on January 2, 2021.
The 2019/20 season was cancelled following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic when the campaign in the topflight was less than halfway through the season.
