Managing director of Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore says his outfit his focused and awaiting the resumption of the league amid reports of points deduction for fielding an unqualified player in Emmanuel Nettey.

Reports went rife this week that, Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak are set to be docked six points after Emmanuel Nettey was allegedly fielded against Elmina Sharks.

It’s believed Nettey was not eligible to play the match because he received three yellow cards before the 1-1 draw against Sharks.

If found guilty the Phobians will be docked 6 points and will, therefore, drop to 15th position on the league log with 15 points.

However, the Managing Director of the 1911 club said Emmanuel Nettey is a talk of town this week because of his performance on the pitch hence the controversy.

“I haven’t heard that[points deduction] formerly Emmanuel Nettey is playing well so people will try and say all sort of things and do all sort of things.

“We are focused and waiting for the league to resume so that we can get as many points possible because neither the management nor the board and the Chairman is happy with where we are, so we need to do anything we can to move forward,” he said on Oyerepa FM.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak say they will approach the Ghana Football Association for compensation after their match week 15 clash against King Faisal was called off.
