Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu has blamed the loss of concentration for their defeat to Karela United in the Ghana Premier League matchday 14 fixture.
The Defending Champions succumbed to a third defeat of the 2021/2022 season at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.
The game seemed to be heading for a goalless stalemate after 90 minutes of regular time, however, a late goal in added time from Umar Bashiru, handed all three points to the home side.
“Lack of concentration in the latter part of the game, led to us conceding the goal,” Samuel Boadu said after the game.
Humin Mohammed Dafie scored in added time as Karela United defeated Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 at the CAM Park at Ayinase.
The game was heading to a draw until Dafie nicked in the match winner in the 94th minute to condemn the Champions to another defeat on the road.
Hearts of Oak sit in 8th place on the league log, level on points with Karela United (20) with a game in hand against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
