Ghana Premier League and FA Cup winners Hearts of Oak have signed attacker Benjamin Yorke from Division One League club Samartex FC.
Having completed a mandatory medical examination at Barnor Memorial Hospital in Accra, the 21-year-old has penned a five-year deal with the Phobians.
Yorke will not participate in Hearts of Oak’s CAF Champions League due to the club’s failure to finalize the transaction in time before submitting their final squad-list to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Yorke has been excellent on the pitch since breaking into the starting lineup, scoring 7 goals to finish as Samartex’s top scorer in the NC special tournament in 2019 and replicating the same performance in zone two of the just concluded Division One League.
In the just ended Division One League zone two season, the Ghana U23 star scored twelve goals for Samartex FC.
The youngster was a member of the Black Stars B squad that failed to qualify for the last CHAN competition in Cameroon.
