Coach Edward Nii Odoom has said the team is working every day to ensure that the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title will arrive at Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians have started our preseason campaign with gym and beach work to build up endurance and get the boys in shape physically for the upcoming campaign.
And Coach Odoom said he has been impressed so far with the work rate of the boys and hopes to put together a squad that will clinch the diadem at the end of next season.
Hearts have not won the Ghana Premier League since 2009, after clinching the title on 19 different occasions.
“We are promising them that, this year will be a very good year for Phobia fans,” he said.
“The boys are very determined and their attitude towards training has been perfect,
“Hearts of Oak will win the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League and break the jinx that has eluded us for the past ten years.”
“The support and assistance the fans offered us during the cancelled season of 2019-20 was massive and well appreciated, and, we want to see even more during this preseason and carry that positive karma to the new campaign”.
Prior to the halt of the season due to Coronavirus pandemic, the club was 9th on the league log with 21 points but Coach Odoom has assured fans of the club that the coming season will be a successful one.
Clubs in the Ghana Premier League, including Hearts of Oak, have begun training ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier set to commence on November 13.
