Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer has confirmed he will appeal the decision to be disqualified from the Ghana Football Association presidential race.

The GFA Normalisation Committee on Friday published names of aspirants who have been deemed fit to contest for GFA presidency in the upcoming elections. In the list, Palmer was the only one disqualified from the 6 others vying for the country’s vacant seat to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Tema Youth bankroller has, however, revealed he will be appealing the decision.

The Normalisation Committee acting as the Elections Committee after recommendations from the Vetting Committee

I have received a decision from the GFA Normalisation Committee acting as the Elections Committee with regards to my decision to contest as GFA President.

The decision read in part that my application to contest as the President of the GFA was unsuccessful because of the following reasons;

1. Breach of Article 33(5) (c) of the GFA General Regulations

2. Decision of the Ethics Committee dated the 13th December, 2017.

First of all, I wish to thank the vetting committee and the Normalisation Committee for the work done so far and to tell all my loved ones to keep calm.

I shall in the coming days file an appeal concerning the decision. To the best of my knowledge, I Wilfred Kwaku Osei did not cot commit any of the infractions stated above.

Once again, let me assure all my loved ones, the football community and the good people of Ghana to stay calm.
