AshantiGold SC have completed the signing of defender Empem Dacosta on a free transfer.
The defender will augment the Miners’ squad for the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup campaign and the Ghana Premier League.
AshantiGold sealed the acquisition of the former Asante Kotoko SC defender on Tuesday following fruitful negotiations.
Dacosta becomes the latest acquisition of what will become the new-look AshantiGold side under Italian trainer Roberto Landi.
While the Len Clay Stadium outfit has seen the departure of a lot of influential first-teamers, the club has made some signings to fill the void created.
Burkinabe goalkeeper Aboubacar Sawadogo, Yaw Arnol, Matthew Agama, Boadu Dacosta, Michael Enu, Stephen Bentil have all been signed by the four-time Ghanaian champions while experienced duo Nathaniel Asamoah and Hans Kwofie who joined not long before the past season was cancelled due to COVID-19, will now get the chance to start their respective stints in Obuasi.
Dacosta parted ways with Asante Kotoko after mutually terminating their contract.
