Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams came off the bench to score as Hearts of Oak recorded a win over Guinean side CI Kamsar in the CAF Champions League.
The duo’s goals late in the game ensured the Phobians have progressed to the next phase of the competition with a 2-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Samuel Boadu’s outfit will next face Wydad Casablanca.
The Guineans started the game brightly and created some opportunities, even finding the net at some point but the goal was ruled out due to an infringement.
Hearts slowly grew into the tie and dominated possession till the end of the first half.
In the second half, the Phobians kept the pressure up whilst Kamsar started some time-wasting tactics.
Kofi Kordzi who rejoined Phobians last month after a stint with Qatar club Muaither SC was introduced as a substitute for Issac Mensah, made his presence felt as he fetched the opener in the 84th from a free kick.
During injury time, Salim Adams who also joined the club last month and making his competitive debut, as a substitute sealed the result with a power driver from the edge of the box.
