Andre Ayew says he is ‘grateful’ to be named Player of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards.
The 31-year-old on Saturday, June 3 was crowned the named Player of the Year at the 3rd edition of the Ghana Football Awards.
Ayew beat Gladson Awako (Great Olympics) and Kudus Mohammed (Ajax) to emerged winner of the award following his achievements with Swansea City in the year under review.
The Black Stars captain has taken to Social Media to show appreciation after being named the best player.

Ayew enjoyed another fine season as he was involved in 21 goals the Swans scored in the league, finding the back of the net 17 times and providing four assists.
He was also on target for the team in the promotion playoffs, scoring the only goal in the 2-1 aggregate loss to Brentford.
Ayew also played a vital role to ensure Ghana made it to the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
and the Ghanaian took home the award after netting 17 times across the campaign.
The U-20 World Cup winner guided the Swans to the finals of the Championship playoffs however his hopes of leading Swansea to the Premier League was shattered by Brentford who defeated them at Wembley.
The 30-year old is available for suitors following his exit from Swansea.
