Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew has begun pre-season training with Al Sadd after joining the Qatari club.
The 31-year-old joined the Middle East club as a free agent this summer after leaving Swansea City.
Ayew trained with his new teammates under the guidance of Barcelona and Spain legend Xavi Hernandez, who currently manages Al Sadd.
The former West Ham forward signed a two-year deal with the Qatari club last month and wants to be in the best shape ahead of the 2021-2022 season.
Ayew in a recent post said he is honoured to have joined the Asian side, vowing to make the fans proud.
“Proud moment for me and my dad to be able to represent the club that started his career outside Ghana. it’s an honor to wear the Al Sadd I will give my all to make our fans proud Inshallah let’s get started!” he wrote
Ayew and Al Sadd are camping in Barcelona ahead of the 2021/22 football season.
Al Sadd will be in Barcelona till August 14, 2021, before returning to Qatar.
Al Sadd are the current champions having won the title in the 2020/21 season and will be hoping to defend it as well as win the Asian champions league.
The Qatari league does not start till mid-September.
