Captain of Medeama Joseph Tetteh Zutah says his outfit boasts of the best midfield ahead of 2020/21 the Ghana Premier League.
The Yellow and Mauves midfield department comprises Kwasi Donsu, Agyei Boakye, Rashid Nortey, Joseph Cudjoe, Richard Boadu, Justice Blay, Eric Kwakwa and the captain.
Justice Blay’s return to the club improves coach Samuel Boadu’s midfield depth when the 2020/21 season kicks off November 13.
“Undoubtedly we have the best midfield in Ghana today. Justice Blays’ inclusion this season is a boost. Even without him, our midfield was very solid.
“I do not think any club can compete with us this season in the midfield,” Zutah told Kumasi FM.
”It is very good for the team because there will be an equal replacement when one is absent though it will give the coach a selection headache. It is not only in the midfield but we have a good defense too,” he added.
Medeama this week unveiled the signing of six new players ahead of the 2020/21 football season.
The two-time FA Cup holders have roped in experienced goalkeeper Frank Boateng – who has joined on a three-year deal on a free transfer from Ashantigold.
