Minister-designate for Land and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor, Minister-designate for Railway John Peter Amewu and Minister-designate for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso Boakye will appear before the Appointment Committee today.
Galamsey which is illegal mining remains a topical issue and Minister-designate for lands and natural resources Samuel Abu Jinapor will face questions from the Committee on what the strategy will be to deal with the menace.
President Akufo-Addo in his last term made the fight against illegal mining a priority and they are those who have opined that the fight is been lost due to activities of politicians within that sector.
Abu Jinapor will also be expected to outline his for the Land Ownership and Tenure System which has become a source for many seeking to aquire land for businesss purposes.
The first three Regional Ministers-designate to be vetted are Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, Minister-designate for Western Region, Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate Henry Quartey, and Seth Acheampong, Minister-designate for Eastern Region.
Eighteen ministerial appointees have so far been vetted by the Appointments Committee.
