Member of the NPP communications team, Nana Akomea has admitted that there are some challenges facing the implementation of the Free SHS policy.
Speaking on TV3 on Saturday, December 5, he said these are normal challenges and are expected.
According to him, just as any new project, some challenges are expected.
He stated that due to the emerging challenges government has committed to solving them by investing more in the building of school blocks and other facilities to eradicate the situation.
Nana Akomea noted that education will take a center stage in Ghanaians decision to vote on Monday.
He said due to the unique nature of the policy, President Akufo-Addo is proud to be the one who implemented it.
This policy he said has lifted many out of poverty.
There has been an ongoing debate about who started Free SHS in the country.
The NDC said they have started the project in 2015 dubbed progressively Free SHS and deserves credit for laying the foundation for the policy.
But the NPP said it cannot be true because the Free SHS policy in its current state is different from what the NDC started, therefore, can not be given credit for starting it.
