President for IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe says the public should not be made to believe the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo resigned from his position.
According to him, the office was rather scrapped because it didn’t add anything to the governance of the country.
He said some of them had their ears on the ground and what they picked up is that the office of the Senior Minister has been scrapped.
Franklin Cudjoe said this on TV3.
Assessing the performance of the Senior Minister, Managing Editor of Daily Dispatch Ben Ephson gave him 40% explaining that due to his rich past experience he was not able to bring that to the front in the administration of the country.
Yaw Osafo-Maafo resigns as Senior Minister
Yaw Osafo-Maafo has resigned from his position as the Senior Minister according to Asaase.com.
His reported exit follows calls for him to be excluded from President Akufo-Addo’s second term.
Under his tutelage, the National Public Sector Reform Strategy (NPSRS), which is to be implemented between 2018-2023 was prepared.
His office also was instrumental in the implementation of the government’s Ghana Beyond Aid agenda.
He was, however, involved in a series of controversies, most notably the $1million Kroll and Associates deal.
This deal which was brought to light by the Auditor-General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo is believed to be one of the reasons Domelevo was forced to go on leave.
