The Electoral Commission have declared the results of Saturday’s NPP’s Super Delegates Congress.
After 4 hours of voting at the 17 polling stations across the country Vice President Dr came top with a total of 629 votes, representing 68.15% of the vote.
Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong came in second with 132 votes, while former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen placed third with 95 votes.
Former Agric Minister Owusu Afriyie Akoto placed 4th with 36 votes.
However, the 5th position is yet to be decided as Boakye Agyarko and Francis Addai Nimoh got 9 votes each.
The Elections Committee of the NPP has therefore decided that there will be a run-off between the duo next Saturday, September 2, 2023.
Professor Mike Oquaye, Chairman of the Elections Committee has explained that race for breaking the tie ahead will go ahead unless one candidate or the two candidates decide to step aside.
