Koku Anyidoho former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he will vote for John Mahama because of his party.
There have been several reports that Anyidoho and Mahama have a strained relationship but the former says he has no issues with him.
Anyidoho speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen said he places the party above every individual so he will vote in the 2020 elections irrespective of who is the flagbearer of the NDC.
“I will vote for the National Democratic Congress which has Jerry John Rawlings as its founder and John Mahama as flagbearer. When I was going for the General Secretary position my message was ‘party first’. The supremacy of the party remains supreme.”
He also revealed that he was part of the presidential committee that elected Mahama as the flagbearer of the NDC in the upcoming election and this means he is not bitter towards the former President.
He added that it is just an agenda and lies that have been peddled against him by certain people in the NDC.
He cautioned those behind these lies to desist from that path or face his wrath.
Mahama has been elected flagbearer of the NDC for the second time and selected Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as running mate.
The two will come up against President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
