Ghanaian musician Fantana’s mother Mrs Dorcas Nda-Affo Toffey has won the Jomoro Constituency seat.
Mrs Nda-Affo Toffey who stood on the ticket of the NDC snatched the seat from the incumbent member of parliament, Paul Essien who has occupied the seat from 2016.

The seat in the past was occupied by Samia Nkrumah who was an Independent Candidate but later won by Paul Essien, who was the Deputy Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs in 2016.
This happens to be the first time the mother of Rufftown record’s signee Fantana has contested in a general election.
She has been hailed by her constituents for her achievement.
