President Nana Akufo-Addo has charged the newly constituted governing council of the University of Education Winneba (UEW), to as a matter of urgency resolve all court cases before the academic year begins in September.

In a speech at the 21st congregation of the University on Saturday, July 29, the president said he was aware of “recent happenings at UEW. Disturbing as it was, it is noteworthy that it appears finality is being brought on the matter. The current challenges in my view can be best surmounted if all stakeholders act within the confines of the law and respect the rule of law,”

The Commander in Chief added that court decisions are not always pleasant, but it’s the surest way to resolve disputes.
