Member of parliament for Weija-Gbawe constituency Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah says voting is being delibrately delayed in her stronghold.
She says there are several polling stations in the Weija-Gbawe constituency which are yet to begin voting.
Ms Mensah speaking to UTV said her strongholds have not yet begun the process and that is a worry.
“There are several areas in Weija-Gbawe which have not started voting, these are my strongholds, some people have even left the polling station because they are tired of waiting, this is not good at all, I have been chasing the EC officials and they say materials are yet to arrive”
Ms Mensah’s main opponent is Cleland Nii Ayaa Ayison of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Voting is yet to start at Weija-Gbawe Goil filling station polling station in Greater Accra.
This is because the vehicle carrying the election materials is said to have broken down and caused a delay.
The Electoral Commission says it is working hard to ensure materials are put in another vehicle and moved to the polling station.
