Vice Chancellor Prof Ben. Q. Honyenuga enphasized management’s commitment to ensure compliance with the safety protocols.

“If you are going to enter a classroom as a student without the face mask you will not be allowed in and that goes to the staff as well. Your superiors will ensure you don’t come in at all, of course, the registrar’s office will issue a warning and that will become a disciplinary issue.”

Final year tertiary students resumed school on Monday, June 15, 2020.

The President in his 11th COVID-19 address to the nation advised students and teachers to observe all the safety protocols.

He also said the government has distributed over 600,000 face masks to tertiary institutions in Ghana.

He indicated that 200,000 students, and teaching and non-teaching staff who are expected back on campus will have three reusable face masks each.

In addition, 1,700 Veronica buckets; 200,000 litres of hand sanitizers; 3,400 litres of liquid soap; and 900 thermometer guns have been distributed.
