Whereas many have touted Adom TV’s telenovela, Kumkum Bhagya as the saver of their marriages, same cannot be said for a couple at Akurafitaa near Akyem Soabe in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region as their marriage seems to have been rocked by the show.

The 33-year-old husband, Mr. Annan is planning to divorce his 28-year-old wife Maame Asse because of the popular Indian TV series.

Mr. Annan reportedly indicates that his wife does nothing at home as a wife should during the hours that Kumkum Bhagya is telecast on television leaving him to do house chores during the time that the show is airing.

He further disclosed that he once asked his wife to cook rice for him but she looked straight at him and said she could only do that after Kumkum Bhagya had finished showing.

“So I cannot continue with this relationship and I think we should end it,” he concluded, according to brytfmonline.
