The Electoral Commission, EC has refuted reports that the Chairperson of the Commission has tested positive for Covid-19.
A statement signed by the Acting Public Affairs Director, Sylvia Annoh said their “attention has been drawn to a malicious story circulating on a news portal which calls itself HardtruthGh claiming that the chairperson of the Commission Mrs Jean Mnesa has contracted Covid-19.”
The Commission through the statement said they wish to state categorically that this is an outright lie and a figment of the author’s warped imagination.
The statement added that the EC boss is well and at post.

The Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo has tested positive for Covid-19.
This was made known by the Minister for Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on July 7 at the Ministry’s briefing.
“Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Marfo has tested positive and will begin isolation from home, we encourage all to abide by the strict compliance to all safety protocols.”
President Akufo-Addo has also begun work from isolation at the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House yesterday.
