Three siblings burnt to death, Father hospitalised after futile attempt to rescue them

The town Nkwanta in the Volta Region have been shaken by a gory incident in which three siblings were burnt to death after fire gutted their home Wednesday.

The incident is said to have left residents of the community in a state of shock and disbelief.

Sources say several attempts to rescue the children proved futile as personnel of the Fire Service who arrived at the scene on time struggled to put out the fire which was reportedly triggered by gallons of pre-mix fuel which had been stored in the room.

The desperate father of the children, who attempted to rescue his kids, also sustained severe burns and is currently receiving treatment at the Nkwanta district hospital, starrfmonline reported.
