About twenty-five (25) beneficiaries of the Youth in Afforestation program and two Officers of the Forestry Commission in Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region have been involved in a near-fatal accident.

The accident occurred on Monday, October 14, 2019.

A Kia Might Truck with registration Number GY 2234-13 transporting the beneficiaries for a tree planting exercise was reportedly shoved into a ditch by a Rhino Truck fully loaded with onions that recklessly overtook another vehicle in a sharp curve along the Begoro to Obooho road.

The staff reportedly fell off from the bucket of the Kia Truck.
