Opposition Member of Parliament for the Nkoranza North Constituency, Derek Oduro has condemned President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for opting to launch their 2016 Manifesto in Sunyani despite doing little to aid victims whose money was looted by DKM Micro-finance Company leading to hardships and even suicides.
The ruling NDC government is set to launch their manifesto at the Sunyani Coronation Park tomorrow September 17, ahead of the December polls after presenting highlights of the yet to be launched manifesto at the Banquet Hall in Accra.
In an interview with Abusua FM, Hon.Derek Oduro professed, President Mahama has not done enough in mitigating the hardships the victims suffered in the Brong Ahafo Region per the DKM Micro-finance scandal adding “If he Mahama and his NDC party have any respect for the people of Brong Ahafo they wouldn’t have chosen Sunyani as the place to launch their manifesto after failing to help them retrieve their money from DKM.’’
The opposition MP added that for the total neglect of the people of the Brong Ahafo by the NDC, they will reject the NDC come December 7. “There are People who have died because of this DKM issue and as a government you have done nothing serious about it and later expect the same people to vote for you, no I don’t think the people are fools to do that and I can assure you that the people in region will vote against Mahama” he concluded.
