Bawumia leaves Ghana for the US

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia left the country for the United States yesterday, January 9, 2020.

In a statement issued by the Director of Communications at the office of the Vice President, it indicated that Dr. Bawumia ”will undertake a number of official engagements”.

”Amongst others, Vice President Bawumia is scheduled to meet with a number of business leaders, investors and the Ghanaian diaspora,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to return on Monday, January 13, 2020.

State enterprises embracing digitisation will promote efficiency in service delivery – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on state enterprises to embrace and incorporate in their daily operations, government’s investment in digitisation.

Dr. Bawumia said the support from the enterprises will promote efficiency in service delivery and ultimately increase the realisation of Ghana beyond aid agenda.

He also announced that the government had commenced processes to launch a one-stop portal; Ghana.gov in the first quarter of the year to host all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
