B/E Region : Two dead in accident at Kintampo

A  two-year-old girl and a man only identified as Michael have been killed in an accident at Ntankro in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region.

Reports indicate that the accident occurred when a Kia driver carrying tubers of yam veered off its lane in an attempt to escape crashing into a broken-down truck.

The truck, however, collided head-on with a taxi.

Speaking on Adom FM, Kwesi Larwu who is Michael’s relative explained that the issue came to them as a big blow.

According to Larwu, Michael was an elder of the Church of Pentecost whose demise will affect his community, church, and family greatly.

He said the others are in critical condition and are awaiting an ambulance to take them to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for orthopaedic treatments.

Meanwhile, the mother of the 2-year-old girl who is heavily pregnant is said to be in a critical condition and had been referred to Techiman Holy Family Hospital for medical attention.
