A senior police officer who was heard on an alleged leaked phone conversation trying to influence Kwame Asare Obeng also known as A Plus, in the bribery and corruption allegations he made against two Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Abu Jinapor and Asenso-Boakye has rejected the content of the tape saying that it was doctored to tarnish her image.

ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the Deputy Director-General of the CID in a statement on Thursday described the tape as mischievous and evil.

Excerpts of the content of the leaked tape suggest an element of truth in A Plus’s accusations of corruption against Abu Jinapor and Asenso-Boakye

According to her, the content of the said tape was a total fabrication calculated to distract and ruin her reputation and that A Plus had earlier threatened to put her voice in the public domain, because he felt aggrieved by the outcome of the bribery and corruption allegations he made against two Deputy Chiefs of Staff.

She said A Plus felt insulted because his allegations were described as completely baseless, lacked credibility and without merit and therefore mischievously picked some aspect of her voice in a conversation she had with him and doctored it.
