Six persons have been arrested by the New Abirim Police in the Eastern region over the death of a 24-year-old man who was shot dead during a hunting expedition last week.
The suspects are currently on remand and are expected to appear before court on September 15, 2016.
According to Starr FM’s Kojo Ansah, the deceased together with the suspects went on a hunting expedition but was mistaken as a game and shot in the abdomen by his colleagues.
The suspects quickly rushed their colleague to the hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival
The incident was later reported to the Police leading to the arrest of the six.
“We are investigating a case of murder, court has remanded them,” the Station Officer at the Abirem Police Station confirmed.
