Voting has resumed at New Zongo in Asawase in the Ashanti Region after some chaos.
The development came about after a man was found by an EC officer after he attempted to drop thumbprinted ballots in the boxes.
The man caused chaos at the grounds but he was arrested by the Airport police.
The EC has brought back it’s equipment for voting to continue.
The presiding officer of the polling station says he spotted the man from afar and when he got closer to the ballot box and attempted to drop the papers in the box, he was prevented and handed over tothe police.
Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka is the Member of Parliament for Asawase and is standing on the ticket of the NDC and his main contender is Mr Alidu Seidu of the NPP.
A total of 17,027,655 registered voters are expected to cast their ballot at about 33,367 polling stations across the country.
According to the Electoral Commission (EC), voting will commence at 7am and end at 5pm on the election day.
In all, 12 candidates are on the ballots seeking to be elected as President of Ghana.
