A spokesperson on Creative Arts for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sadiq Abdulai Abu says Sarkodie displayed ignorance for saying President Akufo-Addo solved ‘Dumsor’.
In an interview with Zion Felix on Wednesday 4, 2020, he stated that Sarkodie has disgraced himself for being ignorant.
Sadiq who is also the brain behind 3 Music Awards was reacting to Sarkodie’s endorsement of Akufo-Addo in his latest song ‘Happy day’.
Sarkodie in the song said he talked about Dumsor during the NDC era but now he enjoys constant electricity supply and said Akufo-Addo must continue as Ghana’s President.
Sadiq says Akufo-Addo did not solve ‘Dumsor’ and urged Sarkodie to proper background check before he makes any endorsement for any government.
‘If Sarkodie is implying in a song that Akufo-Addo did solved ‘Dumsor’ then it is a laughable position, like a big rapper of his sort shouldn’t even be saying this,’ he said.
According to him, Sarkodie is a big rapper hence he should seek more clarity and shouldn’t comment on things he has no idea of.
Sarkodie released music video featuring Kuami Eugene ‘Happy Days’and mentioned that Akufo-Addo has not only implemented good policies, including Free Senior High School, in the interest of the citizenry but also solved the persistent, irregular, and unpredictable electric power outage problem.
